With the MediaValet and Slack integration you can enhance your team's communication and collaboration by instantly sharing ongoing project assets from your MediaValet library in Slack channels, direct messages, and private groups. Capture valuable feedback, suggestions, and comments, and conveniently keep track of everything in the asset history tab within the detailed view of your asset.
1. A MediaValet admin is required to connect the organization’s MediaValet and Slack accounts, please contact support@mediavalet.com for assistance. From MediaValet, select an asset and use the three vertical dots button and select Send to Slack.
2. A window will appear to connect your MediaValet and Slack accounts. Click Connect.
3. An administrator will be required to grant the following permissions in Slack to use this integration:
Content and Info about you
- View messages and other content in a user’s direct messages
- View basic information about a user’s direct messages
Content and info about channels and conversations
- View messages and other content in a users public channels
- View basic information about public channels in a workspace
- View messages and other content in a user’s group direct messages
- View basic information about a user’s group direct messages
- Start group direct messages with people on a user’s behalf
- View user groups in a workspace
- View people in a workspace
Content and Info about your workspace
- View messages and other content in a user’s private channels
- View basic information about a user’s private channels
Perform actions as you
- Send messages on a user’s behalf
- Click Allow to confirm the necessary permissions and connect your accounts.
Note: If you are not a Slack administrator, a window will appear in which you can make a request to install.
