In this article, you will familiarize yourself with the interface of the HotDAM! Experience.
Menu Selector
On the left side of the screen, you will be prompted to a menu including the following sub-menu options:
- Library: Showcases the assets located in the user’s library.
- Upload: Allows the user to upload assets. Please click here to learn more about uploading assets in the HotDAM! Experience
- Advanced Search: Allows the user to select from a list of search filters to optimize their search results. Please click here to learn more about search filters in the HotDAM! Experience.
- Collections: Takes the user to the Collections experience.
- Branded Portals: Takes the user to the Branded Portal experience.
Underneath these options, you will find the Collapse button. Clicking this will only showcase the icons associated with the sub-menus, displaying more of your library.
The Search Bar
Located at the centre of the screen is the search bar. To refine your searching skills, please refer to our article on how to search for assets in MediaValet.
You may also press Ctrl/Cmd + K on your keyboard to navigate directly to the search bar at any time. Please refer to our How to Access the New Experience article for a full list of keyboard shortcuts.
The sparkle icon next to the search bar allows the user to search using Smart Image Search. To learn more about Smart Image Search please click here.
Download, Notifications and Logging Out
Located at the top right of the screen you will notice the following options:
- Download button: Allows the user to view the download queue.
- Bell icon: Showcases any relevant MediaValet notifications.
- Profile Icon. Allows the user to log out, switch the language between English and French, and switch to the Classic experience. The user can also toggle HotDAM! Experience as their default MediaValet experience in this menu.
Note: As of October 22, 2024, after setting the HotDAM! Experience as your default application, the user will be redirected to the Classic experience when opening a new session of MediaValet while still logged in. However, if a user logs out and logs back in, they will be redirected to the HotDAM! Experience as intended.
