How to Set Up Your Custom Home Page (End Users)

Custom Home is coming to all users on September 25th, 2026. This document explains how to use your custom home page, how to access featured resources, manage your personal favorites, work with pinned categories, use useful links, and quickly return to your recent activity.

An article for administrators, can be found here.

Access the Home Page and Featured Resources

When you log in, you will land on the Home tab, which is your new custom home page. The first section at the top of this page is your Featured Resources section. Your administrator should have pre-configured several categories already for you in the Featured Resources section.

To open any featured category, simply click its tile or name.

At any time, you can navigate back to your custom Home page by clicking on Home on the left side bar.

Featured Saved Searches

Within Featured Resources, there is a separate Saved Searches tab. These searches are also configured by your administrator.

Click any saved search to open it.

Once you click on it, you will be taken directly to the Advanced Search tab with that search applied. When finished, return to the Home page.

Set Up Your My Favorites Section

Below Featured Resources is the My Favorites section. This is where you can configure your own personal shortcuts:

  • Pin categories that only you can see
  • Maintain your own saved searches

My Favorites includes two tabs: Categories and Saved Searches. To start configuring them, click the button to explore.

Pin a Category to My Favorites

Navigate to the category you want to pin. (In this example, Varsity Sports)

image6.jpg

and then open the Soccer category.

Open the ellipsis (three-dot) menu for the category

image7.jpg

and select the option to Pin to Myself.

image8.jpg

If you do not see the option to pin it to yourself, it means your administrator has already pinned that category globally, so you cannot add a personal pin for it.

Return to the Home page to confirm that the Soccer category now appears in your My Favorites – Categories tab.

You should now see Soccer listed under your favorites.

Pin a Saved Search to My Favorites

You can perform the same action for saved searches. Open the Saved Searches tab and explore the available searches.

image10.jpg

Locate a saved search you'd like to pin to your My Favorites. (In this example, the Varsity Soccer search).

image11.jpg

Since there is already a saved search for soccer, pin it to yourself using the pin or thumbtack icon.

image12.jpg

You will notice that some pin icons are dark and some are light gray.

image13.jpg
  • Light gray pins indicate items pinned by your administrator; you cannot unpin these.
  • Dark pins indicate items you pinned yourself; you can unpin these at any time.

Return to the Home page to view your changes.

Review Existing Pinned Categories and Admin vs. Personal Pins

To see all the categories pinned, go to the Library tab. You may already be familiar with this tab and its Recently Uploaded section; this used to be your landing page before the custom Home page was introduced.

Under the Home section, you will now see a Pinned Categories section. Some categories here are pinned by your administrator and are grayed out, meaning you cannot remove them.

To see which categories are pinned by your admin, or by yourself, however over to the right of the category name.

The Useful Links Section

On the right-hand side of your Home page is the Useful Links section. These links are configured by your administrator.

Some suggestions for links are:

  • Internal or external websites
  • Training documentation
  • Organization portals or other resources

Click any link to open it in your browser. This section can support many different types of resources that are helpful for your user group. If you have a suggestion to add, please contact your administrator directly.

Resume Work with “Picked Up Where You Left Off”

Further down the Home page is the Picked Up Where You Left Off section, which functions like a history area.

This section has three tabs:

  • Categories
  • Assets
  • Collections

Whatever you have recently viewed or worked on in the DAM will appear here.

If you need to return to a category or asset without searching again, you'll find it in this section. Each entry acts as a quick link, taking you straight back to that asset or category!

Final Note: Use the Search Bar to Access Recent Items

You can also access recent activity from the search bar. Place your cursor in the search field.

A dropdown will appear showing your recent:

  • Searches
  • Assets
  • Categories
  • Collections

This is particularly useful if you step away from your desk and need to quickly pick up where you left off.
