The Attributes page (under Settings → Attributes) gives admins a streamlined way to manage attributes making managing General and Custom attributes faster and clearer.

Open the Attributes workspace
In the left sidebar, click Settings.
Then locate the Attributes tab.
You’ll see two areas:
Attribute Groups (left): Search existing groups, create new groups, and use the ⋯ menu to edit, duplicate, or delete a group.
Attributes Table (right): Search all attributes, sort columns, create new attributes, and use the Actions (⋯) menu to edit or delete an attribute.
Table columns include: Attribute Name, Mapped, Display in List View, Type, Required, and Actions.
Create an attribute group
In Attribute Groups, click + Create.
In the Add New Attribute Group window, enter the group details
Click Create.
Custom sort attribute groups
- Attribute groups can be sorted alphabetically or in any custom order you choose.
- Click on the sort icon next to the attribute group search bar
- Drag + release an attribute group(s) to a position you'd like
- Click apply when you are done
- Attributes within custom attribute groups can also be sorted alphabetically or in any custom order you choose.
- After clicking on a custom attribute group
- Look for the same sort icon above the attribute table to position attributes in the order you'd like
- Click apply when you are done
Edit, duplicate, or delete an attribute group
In Attribute Groups, find your group.
Click the ⋯ menu next to it and choose Edit, Duplicate, or Delete.
Edit to rename or update the group details.
Duplicate to quickly create a similar group you can tweak.
Delete to remove the group from the system.
View Permissions attributes associated to the attribute group.
Manage Permissions to manage Attribute Grouping Permissions. Bulk edits can also be done from here.
Note: Deleting a group removes the grouping, not the attributes themselves. The attributes remain available in the Attributes table and on assets.
Search for attributes
In the Attributes table, use the Search bar to find attributes by name.
Click any column header to sort.
Create a new attribute
In the Attributes table, click New Attribute.
Enter the details for your custom attribute (for example: Name, Type, Required, Display in List View, Mapping if applicable).
Click Save.
Tip: Keep attribute names concise and consistent. If contributors will frequently filter by this field, consider enabling Display in List View (if available).
Edit or delete an attribute
In the Attributes table, find your attribute.
Click the Actions (⋯) menu and choose Edit or Delete.
Edit to update the name, type, or settings.
Delete to remove the attribute from your library.
Caution: Deleting an attribute removes it from assets and search/filtering where it was used. If you only need to rename or standardize values, edit the attribute instead of deleting it.
See your attributes in action (on an asset)
In the left sidebar, click Library.
Select any asset to open the asset panel.
Click the Metadata tab.
Scroll to the bottom to see your attributes*, grouped by Attribute Group.

Edit an asset’s attributes
On the asset’s Metadata tab, click the pencil icon, then choose Edit Attributes.
In the Edit Attributes panel, search for attributes or switch to View by Group.
Make your changes.
Click Apply.
Tip: Encourage contributors to keep relevant groups expanded (the system remembers collapse/expand choices) so they can complete metadata faster.
