How to perform a clean re-install of MediaValet Direct

Follow the steps below if you see the following error when opening MediaValet Direct and if the reset configuration does not solve the issue.

 

You will first need to uninstall the current version of the app from your local device before installing the latest version

 

Windows

  1. Close out of the app completely if opened on your computer. 
    In MediaValet Direct at the top left corner, Go under Application > Quit
     
  2. Go to the Program and Features menu in your Control Panel and Uninstall MediaValet Direct

     
  3. Delete CreativeSPACES App Data 
    • Open File Explorer on Windows
    • Click on the Address bar and input %APPDATA%
    • If you see a Creative Spaces folder, delete it 
  4. Delete CreativeSPACES Workspace and Cache Data
    • Open File Explorer on Windows
    • Click on the Address bar and input %USERPROFILE%\Documents
    • If you see a Creative Spaces folder, delete it
       
  5. Once the steps above have been completed, install the latest version of MediaValet Direct:

MacOSX

  1. Close out of the MediaValet app completely if opened on your computer.

     
  2. From the “Applications” folder, move the “MediaValet” application to your Trash. Please also ensure to delete the .dmg installer file which initially downloaded from your Downloads folder
     
  3. Force Quit and relaunch your "Finder" application.

     
  4. Next, please open your "Finder" and select "Go" > "Go To Folder"

     
  5. Input the following query into the folder path field, ~/Library/Application Support/If you see a CreativeSpaces folder, delete it

     
  6. Once the steps above have been completed, install the latest version of MediaValet Direct: https://medialibrary.mediavalet.com/portals/MVDirect_InstallFiles
