This article will provide a walkthrough on Collections in the HotDAM! Experience
Collections allow users to conveniently build a list of tailored assets, allowing for a space where you can quickly house the assets you need. With collaborative features, Collections can quickly become your go-to team organizational tool.
Creating a Collection
To create your first collection simply click on the Collections button located on lefthand side collapsible menu.
Once there click on the "Create" button to get started.
After a collection has been created, simply select any asset from your library and press the plus sign to add it to an existing collection.
This step will add the asset to your collection, but it will not remove the asset from its current category.
Once assets are added to a collection, a user can perform the same actions available anywhere else in the library such as download the assets and share the assets.
Sharing a Collection
Users can invite collaborators to add assets to their collection. To do so, click on the ellipsis next to your collection's name.
Once there, simply search for the desired collaborator, and select whether they can Add/Remove Assets or View Only.
When added, the collaborator will receive an email invitation.
To manage your list of collaborators, simply click on the Manage button. Once there, you are able to alter a collaborator's permissions, or remove them from your collection altogether.
Users can also choose to share a collection externally as a Web Gallery. To do so, simply click on "External Users"
Removing a Collection
Users can remove a Collection shared with them by clicking on the X icon located next to the Collection's name.
