How to use the list view in MediaValet

You can manage your columns in the list view to see all the information you need about your assets.

How to switch to the list view

If your default view is the grid view, click the List View icon at the top left.

Note: The Fit and Fill thumbnail options in Display options apply to grid view only. They don't change how previews appear in list view.

How to manage your columns in the list view

Once you are in the list view, you will see a column icon on the right-hand side, next to the page number.

Click this icon to display the list of columns. Use Add Columns to add one, the remove button to take one away, and drag and drop to change their order.

Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

Note: the individual asset Actions menu is always your last column.

Note: your column choices are your own. Each person sets up their own list view, and there is no account-level setting that applies columns to everyone.

How to see an asset's categories

The Categories column can be added from the "manage columns" setting and will show up between File Format and Uploaded Date. It shows every category an asset is assigned to, with no limit on how many appear, so you can check category without opening each asset.

How can I sort my assets?

You can sort some of your assets by clicking the small arrows to the right of your column headings. The default sorting is the upload date, the same as for the grid view.

Only system attributes can be sorted, not custom attributes.

Sortable but unsorted columns show a grey arrow. Sorted columns show a dark grey arrow, whether ascending or descending order is selected. In this example, the assets are sorted by modified date, descending.
