Custom Homepage
Starting August 25, administrators can configure a Custom Homepage that replaces the default recently uploaded assets view, giving users quicker access to the categories, saved searches, content, and links most relevant to them.

Full Asset Preview in External Upload Approvals
Approvers reviewing external upload submissions can now see the selected file’s preview, metadata, and review status in a side panel, making it easier to review submissions without losing context as they move through the list.
Duplicate Detection at Upload
MediaValet can now identify duplicate files during upload, helping users catch duplicate assets before they're added to the library.
If a file being uploaded already exists in the library, a notification identifies the duplicate. Users can preview the uploaded file alongside the existing asset and choose whether to remove it from the upload or upload it anyway. The rest of the upload continues without interruption. Duplicate detection only checks assets in areas of the library they have permission to access.
Please note: This release detects exact copies only, meaning files that are byte-for-byte identical to an asset already in the library. A re-saved or re-exported version of the same file, or a similar-looking one, won't be flagged.
Duplicate Detection applies to uploads through the main upload experience only, and does not apply to API, Cloud Connector, integrations or external uploads.
Face Recognition: Change a Person's Profile Thumbnail
Users can now manually change the profile thumbnail assigned to a recognized person on the People tab. Previously, the thumbnail was automatically set by the system and could not be changed.
Thumbnails can be updated by anyone who can already edit face names.
Choosing a more recognizable thumbnail makes it easier to identify people at a glance!
File Type Filter: Search by Extension
The File Type filter now includes a search bar, allowing users to search for an extension instead of scrolling through the list to find it.
From the top level, search looks across all groups at once, so searching for .mov finds the extension whether it's under Documents or Other. When a group is opened, search is scoped to that group. Matching is case-insensitive and supports partial matches, and a leading dot is optional. For example, .MOV, mov, and mo all return MOV. As with other filters, only extensions that exist in the library are returned.
Available in both the Browse filters and Advanced Search.
