CDN Dynamic Asset Transformations: Now in the UI

The CDN link creation panel now includes a dedicated Dynamic Transformations tab, letting you resize, crop, and optimize assets directly in the MediaValet interface with a live preview before you publish.

Key controls include: resize and crop with real-time preview, Auto Optimize format (on by default, serving WebP, AVIF, or JPEG based on the viewer's browser), and a Background Video mode that auto-configures autoplay, mute, and loop, and hides player controls, in a single click. Video embed links are now generated by default for better performance and compatibility.

New Integration: MediaValet for WordPress

Browse, configure, and insert approved MediaValet assets inside the WordPress editor. Search by keyword or attribute, apply CDN image transformations without re-uploading, and have metadata (alt text, titles, expiry) sync automatically.

External Uploads Security: CAPTCHA Protection

Every external upload link now includes Cloudflare CAPTCHA protection, blocking bots from abusing your upload links. It runs silently for legitimate contributors and only appears when verification is needed.

Portals: Smarter Sync for CLP-Restricted Admins

Portal managers with Category-Level Permission (CLP) restrictions can now sync the categories they're permitted to access, instead of being blocked by a single restricted category.

The Sync toggle is now evaluated category by category, and any category you can't access is disabled with a tooltip explaining why. If an asset belongs to a restricted category, it can't be added to a portal section, even when the parent category is otherwise syncable.

Experience Portals

Profile Page

Experience Portal users can now view their profile directly within the portal, with no more redirects or dead ends when checking account details.

The read-only profile view shows personal info, company details, permission group, and password status. Clicking Edit Profile opens a modal linking to the right page in MediaValet, and any changes made there sync back to the portal automatically.

Scoped Search in Experience Portals

Search within an Experience Portal now returns only assets surfaced on that portal. Assets shared across multiple portals still appear on each, and DAM-side search is unaffected.

Reporting

Reporting has gone through a reliability update, with a smoother way to drill from the dashboard down to a single page or user. Choose Drill through to open a user's detailed report, including a full activity History covering page views, downloads, and total logins, sorted newest-first.

Please note that libraries with multiple portals currently show an aggregated view across all portals.
