How to setup Multi-Factor Authentication for your library

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for non-SSO clients is now available on MediaValet through the Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator apps!

MFA strengthens your account security by requiring multiple verification methods, ensuring enhanced protection against unauthorized access.

How to setup MFA?

Once MFA is enabled for your library, you will need to follow the steps below to set it up for your user account.

  1. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app or the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone.

This is what the app icon look like in your application store :

  3. From here, you will need to open your Microsoft Authenticator or Your Google Authenticator app.

  4. In the Authenticator app, choose to add an account (work or school account in the Microsoft app) by clicking on the + sign.

  5. Choose to Scan the QR Code and place your smartphone camera in front of the QR code that shows in your library login page as shown above. Your camera will scan the code and the setup should complete.

  6. If scanning the QR code does not work for you, choose the alternative option to manually enter the code/setup key on your app.

  7. Once the setup is done, you should be able to generate a Verification Code from your app that simply need to enter in the field. Click Verify to login to your library.
