How to Set Up the MediaValet Integration with monday.com

This article will guide you through installing and setting up the MediaValet app in monday.com so you can connect your DAM directly to your boards.

Note: Third party cookies must be allowed in order to access this integration. If using Safari, you must enable third party cookies. If using Firefox, you must disable Enhanced Tracking Protection, or the integration will not function.


Before you begin

Step 1: Find the MediaValet app in the monday.com marketplace

  1. Open the MediaValet listing on the monday.com marketplace.

  2. Click Sign in to install.

    • This will take you to your monday.com login page.

Step 2: Install the app

  1. Once signed in, you’ll be directed back to the MediaValet marketplace listing.

  2. Click Use app to begin the installation.

Step 3: Connect your DAM to a board

  1. Follow the prompts on screen to connect your MediaValet DAM.

  2. Choose the monday.com board* you’d like to link with your DAM.

    1. *You must install each board individually. This is a monday.com limitation.

    2. To make the app appear here, click on the "+" and then Explore More Views and search for MediaValet. (See screenshot below).

    3. Once added to an item on the board, it is available to all items only in that board. These steps must be repeated for each board.

  1. Once connected, you’re ready to start inserting assets, mapping attributes, and setting up automations!

Setting Suggestions

  1. Once you have installed the MediaValet integration, you can choose to set the position of the MediaValet (and set it as your board default). 

 

Additional Notes:

  • If multiple category automation is needed, you must use a "Long Text" column in monday.com when mapping to your sentence builder automation
     

  • Files close to or over 500 MB may result in versioning issues in MediaValet due to Monday.com's file size limit.
     
  • Automations that upload more than 40 assets in an item to your MediaValet Library will upload successfully, but the update in monday.com's comments section may not properly list all assets. We recommend limiting automations to <40 assets per item.
     
  • This integration only supports 1 org unit library per board. If you attempt to insert assets from multiple org units libraries in the same board, it may work but is not supported, and thus you may have incorrect statuses.
