What is Similar Images?

Similar Images lets you quickly surface assets that look like the one you’re viewing—same product, scene, color palette, composition, or angle—without relying on exact keywords. It’s ideal for finding on-brand alternatives, related shots from the same shoot, and fast variations for campaigns.

What’s it used for?

Speed up discovery: jump from a reference asset to visually related options in seconds.
Brand consistency: find on-brief alternates that match look and feel.
Reduce rework: reuse existing assets instead of commissioning near-duplicates.

How to Use Similar Images (a Step-by-Step Guide):

1. Click on any image asset.

2. In the Asset Panel and click the Similar Images tab (Labs).

   

3. Review your Image Match Results below your asset.

4. To narrow your results using filters, click on Open in Search. 

5. Use filters to narrow your search.

Optional View:
For a full screen view, you can click on the Expand View icon from the asset panel. 

FAQs

1. Will this show exact duplicates or just look-alikes?
   You may see exact or near-exact matches alongside visually similar results. If you’re cleaning up duplicates, verify file metadata (dimensions, size, version) on the asset page before deleting.

2. Can I restrict results to a category or attribute(s)?
   Yes. Apply filters to focus results after opening the Similar Images in search.

3. Does this work across the whole library?
   Yes, results draw from assets you’re permitted to access.

4. Does this replace keyword/metadata search?
   No. It complements it—use Similar Images when you have a strong visual reference, then apply filters or run a metadata search to refine further.

5. Is this permission-aware?
   Yes, results only include assets you’re allowed to access.
